We've all got walls Orchid. Have you seen the glory of daffs thread - it's getting to be our very own catalogue! I've asked on camera thread how to reduce size of photos.

No I haven't yet MrsG but will have a browse now, I have loads of close ups of my daffs and these were the 'cheap' bag from B&Q reduced at the end of last year image I'm really impressed with them.  When I eventually get on the laptop I may post some of my close ups image

I know we all have walls but it makes a rubbish background and some walls are nicer than others.....Accrington Brick doesn't make the best photographic background image

While we're talking daffodils, I want to recreate a bit of the farm where I grew up - there was a group of ash trees (which I have) and some wild daffodils (narcissus pseudonarcissus) and one clump of double daffodils which I think were sports of the wild ones - they looked quite a lot like this pic, but the petals were even finer - looked sort of 'shredded' somehow

Has anyone seen any like it anywhere?

The builders stopped making a noise so I went back outside - then someone across the other side seems to be playing with a chainsaw ........... what's with all this sudden noisy activity - it's not usually like this image

Can't help with the daffs Dove.

All is quiet here, weather that miserable even lad next door isn't having his 1/2hr kicking football at their garage door. We came to a compromise about the 1/2hr, he can come and collect his ball without asking (if he treds carefully) if I only have to put up with 1/2 hr continuous thudding.  image Won't be too many years before he discovers girls image

    PM'd you Dove.

Is this the daffodil you are looking for,Dove? I never planted it and it's growing in an area of brccken down the bottom of my field. It is quite low growing and hasn't really spread although it's been there over 25 years. if it's the one you want I could send you 2 or 3 bulbs.

I hope you don't have to listen to your neighbours son and girlfriends giggling outside at all hours, Kef image

We used to play cricket  and the balls kept going in a neighbours garden. We thought at the time he was a grumpy old man but I can see now where he was coming from!
