Woo hoo, just found a LILAC daffodil, mum's fave colour, have sent an email.

I think I need some 'calm down tablets' as mum would say! Having all sorts of silly ideas (see apple thread, oh dear) I'm a bit of an ideas person but not so good at the practicalities of following through and need someone to do that for me, once started I'm ok.

Oh! and another idea is to get OH to build a pergola over the slate area. One of the apple trees is in the way but working on ideas to overcome that (OH will be negative), another problem is I have the idea but no brain power to realise how to do it (OH will be negative) or if it's possible (of course it is!) That idea came as Argos have delayed my arches order until 18 April (due this saturday),  (so so so upset), my negative mind tells me they won't be able to get them at all, will wait and see. I'll try not to have any more ideas and just go and sow some seeds, plant or dig.

  • Morning all... Whoop whoop last up!!!! Worked till 3am up at 7 with lo and now on train to London. Loving all the chat about daffs. I have been scouring the internet for some inusual ones to add to my front garden collection

This isn't the best pic as was taken before a lot sprung into actioN the grass is teaming with them now... But there are still bare patches. I took this to remind me where they were so I can plant more this year!!! Rip can winkle is my all time fave

Your ideas sound exciting Mrs G! As for silly well I'm on revision 67 of the vegetable plot now so I can hardly comment. Even had to plant my garlic under the washing line as they were burst their pots and the plot wasn't even slightly ready! I'm going to mark out rev 67 this weekend to see how it looks before perhaps making my mind up...

Although I also want to design in a space for chickens, you know, just in case some magically appear in the garden one morning. So perhaps I ought move the green houses more to the left and.... oh dear I can see rev 68 appearing!

Tried to change my avatar to one of daffodils taken today but it doesn't like it so I've got a poppy from last year instead.

Beware when you get to 69 Clariimage

Where's Fairy these days, she can't be painting her fence in this weather.

Hurrumph!  The builders at the front neighbours have finished their angle grinding ............. ................ the builders behind and to the right have started their angle grinding image

I remember once thinking that when I retire it won't be like being at home at weekends, there's bound to be some noise other than lawnmowers from time to time - I was right.  Not sure if I want to be out in the garden much more this afternoon - it's very noisy.  They're building an extension so their cutting through the brickwork - it won't go on for ever ............. will it?

I've been outside planting honeysuckles and preparing some rough ground near the pond for some ground cover - maybe I've done enough and should come indoors and watch some rubbish tv until the noise finishes?

I'd better water the plants in pots before I come in .................

Verdun, I'm so sorry to hear about your mum.  Keeping everything crossed it's good news and sending positive thoughts and cyber ((hugs)).

Mrs. Garden, sometimes if the size of the picture is too high it doesn't like it, I tried loads of other orchid pics before I got this one on.

Now then ladies (and men of course, although it seems to be the ladies getting more excited over 50 shades of yellow image), here is a little something for you.....
