OOOooooOOOOoh damn, KEF spotted my stealth purchases
Not sunny today, but still doable in the garden. Didn't get anything actually planted because I had to make Cheesy-Leeky-Potato-Thingy this afternoon which I've just gobbled up with butcher's sausages I was starving!
EDD - understand your need for solitude. Stay safe and come home when you're ready.
Verdun, my OH tells me man flu's no joke. Wrap up warm and go with the flow...
Matty - a liitle of what you fancy does you good. That includes GC visits.
Yvie, my glasses are mended with elastoplast. It's very trendy, you know
Wintersong, I have to visit the GC next week for a present for my mum's birthday. Wonder how many extra purchases I can slip into the trolley without OH noticing? Maybe I can go on Monday when he's out...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Went to vet's. Tigger hadn't got a sore tummy anymore so the cortisone must be working. All treatment is palliative, he's too old and his heart isn't strong enough for an operation. But now he's had proper food I don't think he'll want to go back to tinned food. Has just wopped down minced beef and rice!
Have pruned the last apple tree, but Monsieur the log man pruned the other four! But it meant going up a ladder again. He did the taller ones though.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Managed to get some gardening done - hurrah, feel like I am back to normal. Not much in the way of real gardening, ground still frozen but beautiful afternoon. Got a lot of tidying & cutting back done, some dead heading and did manage to weed out some emerging nettles - with very long roots. Even managed a coffee under the walnut tree with a snaeky jaffa cake (or 2).
Matty, sorry to hear you're not so good, definitely trip to GC required.
Yvie hope you get your glasses fixed soon, my snazzy leather trim came off one side so had to peel other side off too to look 'normal'. OH said didn't warrant a new pair. I am going to insist on new prescription sunglasses later this year though, old ones well past it, can't see a thing, didn't matter too much in UK.
Becky, lucky you, although I am feeling very envious of Steve the Vet's indulgence right now, dream dream dream....

Steves grow house shed wotsit is gorgeous! But mine only cost a tenner after my tesco vouchers, so i cant moan!
Glad you got some gardening done, its amazing how it just makes you feel "right"
BL, you cant blame him for having good taste! Im sure he thinks all his birthdays have come at once, sounds like he isnt in pain either which is exactly what we wish for isnt it, good for you Tigger!
Am shattered, woke up i pain at stupid o'clock, then convinced myself something had happened to george! Stupid wee hours playing tricks on me, will have to have a nice early night....shame i aint got any chocs!
Now that's what I could do with - a smaller version of Steve the Vets construction = chance will be a fine thing though
I don't know what has happened with EDD but feel he needs to talk to someone about such deep sadness, with Oh/without OH
I fell when at a farmhouse in France last year and my glasses were extremely lopsided, had visions of having to get a french pair but a lovely optician salvaged them for me. Then saw my own optician and h just sorted them a but more - result - no new glasses. I spent some time being anonymous though.
Oh also had a bit of concussion and still have a slight discolouration on my face from it - moral is don't go to a French hospital without a french speaker!!!!!
