Just heard from a friend on another forum - a District Nurse in the Derbyshire Peaks where it's snowing heavily on black ice - she's just setting out on foot with a colleague to do necessary visits to patients living off the beaten track.

I can vouch for that Dove. We sit right on the edge of the D.Peaks, and it is very heavy, and with large accumulations.

How can you lie there and think of England

Pouring. Back from tractor mower place. They have rung round and found a new blade housing for the garden tractor, but it's the complete unit with blades. But it's a lot cheaper than a new tractor.

Was going to ring you DD, but having seen your post, perhaps another day!

  • Right here is a stupid question, i like bugens bread, the soya and linseed one, but a loaf is too much and i always end up binning some...can i freeze it? How many slices at a time do i freeze (can i do it in batches so its easy to use?) And what do i do when i want to use it? Does it have to be defrosted or can i toast it straight fom the freezer?

Sorry, i know this is home ec 101, but i must have missed that class!image
