Burns night 25th Jan. Don't know many Scottish people in Devon/cornwall though!

I think Lidl have slipped up there, well, down here anyway!

Doesn't seem to stop some people from wearing a kilt - I'm sure that some people just treat it as fancy dress!

However, OH has Scottish forefathers on his mother's side - think it would be a good investment for him to get himself kitted out with a kilt, jacket etc rather than keep buying/hiring suitable suits for weddings etc.   I think he'd look really good in a kilt image

I wonder if Lidl are selling the right tartan image

Wild night, and not in a good way, everything seems OK in the garden though.  Feeling really c**p this morning.  Sore throat, aching and very tired.  Luckily I have nothing particular to do today apart from catching up on the washing.  Should be on Nanna duty tomorrow, hope I feel better.

    Keep safe everyone.

Tax return done. Now off to supermarket for bananas for OH.  He is back tomorrow morning at about 2.30 am. Must remember to NOT put the chain on the door.

I hope the ferry crossing to Holyhead is OK, and the winds have died down a bit. He's got his Stugeron just in case.image

Then I suppose I really ought to do some H****w**k image

Fidget just leave the door open a few mins and the dust will blow away, hope OH gets home on time.

Been out for an appointment today, strange not windy in Sheffield but blowing like heck here and it's a bitter wind, just had a phone call so to say that Mum's plastic re-cycling bin has blown over imageLOL looks like staying on it's side until tomorrow.

I saw my first blackbird sighting in the garden today, I wonder if it's our regular or the ones that migrate here over winter from further north. I read once that blackbirds and robins do a sort of mini musical gardens when they migrate, each bird choosing a slightly warmer clime to their own, so our UK birds fly to France whilst we get the Norwegian ones so to speak, and then swap back in Spring. So my regular Mr and Mrs Blackbird become Mr and Mrs Ssvartfugl for the winter image
