Lyn, I used to live in Smarden, north of Tenterden. Daughter went to piano lessons in Tenterden. Didn't know Ashford is humble-tumble, Wintersong. It was quite small then, before the motorway and the tunnel. I used to shop there and sold Jersey calves in the market. 2 of my children were born there.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I remember the market well BL. It was the hub of the town when I was a teenager and something of a mystery tour for youngsters who were often led around the cows for sale with wonder
The market's outside of town now and the shopping area was extended three sides. Saint Mary's remains lovely on the horizon, Bank St is still Bank St and Middle Row hasn't fallen down yet, so yes, not so humble-tumble as you say but I always feel like Ashford is surrounded by so many beautiful villages with Canterbury/Dover/Deal being such glamorous tourist hotspots that we are a little ordinary upon the landscape
Trimmings down and back in the loft and HW done, same at mum's and also some de-cluttering done Wonder if mum is outside now looking in her rubbish bin truly she did agree to what I've chucked it's how you phrase the question
Good evening everyone! Wow, I haven't been around for a few weeks- blame travelling around for Christmas and New Years and working in university!
How is everyone doing? I'm alright, my worms died while- I was gone The top fell off of my wormery and it was flooded, poor little worms drowned! Otherwise, all is well, I planted Garlic a few weeks ago and they are SHOOTING up! And I might have saved my rosemary- but the lavender has died a bit of a death. I want to get more grit for those plants but I really don't know where to buy it, and I don't want to get a massive huge bag!Can someone give me some advice please?
Hello folks - bathroom fan all sorted. OH has run the Dyson around. All I've done is bake a fruitcake, cook a stirfry, a couple of phone calls and a couple of emails and I'm totally
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Welcome back BitterKnitter.
I get my grit from a DIY centre but it comes in builder's bags and although they are not huge, the bags are quite heavy
