Evening all, will catch up with posts later not been on here for a few days not been feeling well, bit better after a rest
Today been out in garden cutting grass was getting a bit long even though it is late in the year to do, lawn mower playing up though, manually scarified a lot of moss in grass again and found lots of caterpillar in different places in the grass all moved them a bit and have started forking holes in the grass ready for the top dressing if dry will be doing tomorrow
hand and back bit sore now, that is nearly a bit off the long list down not
I'm not ready for beans Verdun. I spotted a first for me today. One tiny, just poking up from the ground, Helleborus niger flower. That's the first time I've had one that's flowered for a second year
I think there's some sort of body reaction when the pressure comes off Dove. It will all settle down in time.
Think you might be right Nut
We don't have a microwave - when we had one we hardly ever used it and I'd rather have the worktop space!
Next door (not the side with the poorly cat, the other side) is an elderly single gent. He has someone come to mow the lawn and clip the shrubs etc. I thought I'd ask him how much he'd charge to dig the new border so when he was cutting next door's lawn the other day I popped around and asked for his contact details - however he's quite old himself and only marginally less frail than our neighbour, and he has carers x3 each day!!!
Good job OH says he'll help with the heavy stuff
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Take it easy dove, you have all the time in the world (oops wrong thread ) now you are retired. Do your garden gradually, we don't want you poorly for xmas (sorry, not quite the C word)
I am very pleased that I have managed to keep my helleborus niger going all year - gave up on putting them in the ground, but these ones are in pots in the shade, and seem to be ok.
OH dug over our new veg bed, I did more weeding. Beginning to look respectable again round here !
Take it easy Dove - I think Nut is right, the release of all that stress lets all the bugs and aches and pains in !
