Thanks folks - I must admit I'm pretty pleased with it (and very grateful to OH for all his hard work, as well as the builders - must send them a pic) .

I keep going out there and sitting on the sleepers on the Shady Bank and gazing into the water - OH says I have a silly grin on my face imageimage

That pond looks brilliant - well done both of you Dove and OH Dove.  I love the reflection in the water.

  • Rosemummy, have you tried sudocrem and olive oil mixed together for nappy rash, cleanse with it and apply as a barrier, always found it worked like magic.

Dove, pond and wilderness look lovely, got me planning yet another project now!

Verdun, also tried that, problem is I want to extend border in a certain place (for new tree) but it doesn't suit the lawn at all. May reconsider a climber instead.

Does this mean you are giving up the tree?

Maybe Panda. Trouble is finding enough space for the roots next to the dead one it's replacing.
