Hi Gg, entries for spuds( white and coloured), any other vegetable (hoping my runners might be good enough), most fragrant rose, miniature roses, floribunda roses, dahlias (only one entry in this class last year which won a cup too), pansies, violas, flowering shrubs, cut flowers ( glads.), climbing rose, mixed annuals, perennial stem, foliage, alpines, tub/trough. Also a photo, and a Tarte Tatin.
Trying a few more classes than last year, lots of stress at moment, as am also heavily involved in setting up the show itself. Need to be in 4 places at once. Will start detailed planning tomorrow, to ID plants, vases etc, panic, panic......
Having now rounded up some more jam jars from mum (who has the collection), I can make some more blackcurrant jam tomorrow. Another bush to pick, probably about 6 pounds of fruit to go.
Trip to supermarket for more sugar, I resisted the urge to trip up the little darling belting up and down the aisles on a scooter.
Runner beans are growing, I should be able to pick some later on this week. As kef says, a vole decided to eat my prize cucumber, but as she bought me half a dozen, there are plenty to go in the Pimms. Should be good weather for the rest of the week. Dont forget the sun tan lotion folks.
Only skim reading as not enough time to catch up properly. apologies if I've missed something. Evening all!
My garden design has a path all the way round for kiddie entertainment and next door had given us just the same little ride in car that their grandchildren have grown out of. My son adores it. My new greenhouse had a shed attached that has been provided to my son for his toys (with the adjoining door bolted shit from greenhouse side!)
Hubbie and I agreed against a giant trampoline - me for safety- I couldn't supervise it fully all the time and hubbie for intrusiveness in the garden. Then I considered, wouldn't be against a sunken one- safer, visually better. And what do you think I could do with a deep round hole in years to come when trampoline outgrown..... Haven't mentioned sunken trampoline idea yet, but maybe, maybe....
Right, caught up now, sounds like everyone has had a lovely day, especially Fidget and KEF I really must try and get over to Yorkshire and meet you all and Rosemummy too Off to Nottingham (again) tomorrow.
I got your mail this morning Lily, just not had chance ti reply yet.
Wish I could get to Woodgreen at weekend, sometimes I feel like I'm miles away from everyone over here on the NW coast
I've had a good day, not done anything in the garden really as I've been working but did find an Iris, better late than never I suppose.
Right, off for a mooch and finish my cheeky glass if red wine.
Well done on the code thing OL - you were the first to crack it. Post a plant pic and we all dive in ...... post a code and we are all confuddled. Never thought i'd feel so behind the curve when I am only 27
Speaking of which, time to find my pillow ....27 year olds can't cope with early mornings and late nights on the same day without getting v grumpy
