Yes its a heated propagator. I switch it off in the day so that it doesn't get too hot, and then back on at night. If the sun is on it as well, the seeds will cook. As soon as they germinate they will come out. I find that a lot of seeds need a bit of bottom heat to germinate, but not to grow on.
Morning all..... My lo loves delphiniums she chose and grew one like Ashleigh's last year it was great! She's revelling in the tulip success ATM ( well she is only 3!!) she checks her garden every morning/ night..... Helenium I would love but have steered away from. I'm going to hampton again this year on the Sunday I may treat myself!!!! I'm chuffed that my echinecea are coming up again this year they are other wise an expensive annual!!!
Mrs Garden, My S. patens formed substantial tubers. I have potted them and kept warm they are just starting to grow. If you know where yours were, I would gently fork them up, pot them and keep them somewhere warm until they start to grow.

I have delphinium black knight in the propagator. Just beginning to germinate after 2 weeks.
Is it a heated propagator FB? Mine is unheated, but the seeds were free seeds (from another magazine) and they can be a bit hit and miss
Three years to proper flowers, gosh I am going to have to find some patience from somewhere!!!!
