Chicky - get confident on the transport network! Holocaust memorial was very moving and art on so many wierd levels, strange emotions, get 'amongst' it!

We never found any quaint areas. Botanical gardens worth a visit. The bike (cycle) tour was really well worth it, with a great guide and information. Tegal park was good too ( might have got the name wrong!) and that surrounding area, nice informal pub overlooking river ( again wish I remembered the name but bike tour stops there).

    Hope you enjoy it. X

  • Morning,

Good day in garden (eventually) yesterday, cleared up leaves & weeded my soon to be rosebed and dug in manure (very well - rotted) because my roses arrived from DA.image They will be going in today.

Mrs G, good to hear decorating almost done, still have a way to go here. image

Berlin sounds exciting, have friends from there, will try & get some inside info. image

Today going to try & chase up 'digger man', he has some landfill going spare apparently for my soon to be rockery. So many projects, so many ideas, am fit to burst with excitement.

Also managed to squeeze in a Body Pump class yesterday whilst raining and waiting for library to open; not done it for 10 years, little bit tender in places this morning. image

Morning all. Hope you have a good trip chicky  - keep MrsG on speed dial image

Dry this morning and I'm putting washing out in a minute or three. Excellent parent's night - apparently she's a teacher's dream...not sure that's the appropriate comment from a young male teacher though.... imageimage

Take it easy DD - those roses will wait a day or two.

Off for a quick look round before I go. Have a good day everyone image

Good morning  looks a bit dark this morning.

Fairy can understand your surprise, maybe not the best words for teacher to use!?

DD where do you get all that energy? You sound like superwomanimage

Got quite a bit cleared in the rose garden yesterday but still a way to go. We have chip bark laid there and a family of blackies who chuck it around, they make quite a messimage

Had email from DA that roses on the way so will need to return to the wall and prepare soil. It will be at least Sat before they get planted

    Have a good day everyoneimage

LP - I know - he meant she was attentive, polite  and always did her best - he just could have used a better description  image  According to daughter, several of the other girls have a serious crush! image

I love watching the blackbirds dig around in bark - although I know what you mean about them being very messy image
