    Good morningimage

Cold and pouring down here.  At least the dog is in no rush to go out.  She settled down and slept through the last of the fireworks.  I swear they get noisier every year.

Chicky I  hope you are well wrapped up this morning. (shivery face).  Glad your worms are wrapped up now Clariimage

MrsG image at least your OH will check for upside down fireworks next yearimage

Hope you get our paperwork sorted DD. Like you I would like to know why we should cut the leaves off helleboresimage

  • Good morning all, first frost here and dahlias are clobbered. Sad but it seems to happen every yearimage

DD, cutting off old leaves leads to fresh new clean growth, and displays the flowers better. Not absolutely essential, but the old leaves eventually blacken anyway, so get them off sooner rather than later. Here I can do it over the next few weeks, so no rush yet.

Have a problem with a switch on my central heating but am just about keeping it going as I wait for my man to come.

Off to lunch with some ladies I used to work with. Friend coming too. Great that we can keep up all these old friendshipsimage.

Good morning 3C here and frosty image

Cutting leaves from Hellebores, I have one flowering what do I do about that  image

Runny sorry to hear about the planned development our last move was because of a housing development a three story house was built overlooking our bungalow with a great view into our bedroom and dining room. They obtained permission to build on a fault line that we were told nothing could be built on image all objections from us & neighbours were ignored.

  • Good morning all image  Hazy blue skies and white fluffies here - looks like it's going to be a lovely day.  I won't be gardening 'cos I'm travelling down to Suffolk to attend an old friend's memorial service image

Then I'll be back as the farm shop are holding their Turkey Tasting at Notcutts Sage evening - thought I'd go along to  lend a hand and see what else I might be tempted by image

Morning all. Wet here too - so  much for the frost. I went and covered the car and the canna last night so at least they'll be warm and dry...image

Woody - hope you get the heating sorted properly soon -  I was without mine for three days last week but fortunately it was mild. Good excuse for lots of tea as well as being a 'lady who lunches' though  image

KEF- perhaps the house will disappear into a large hole at some point...incredible how some planning is allowed. image

Off for a quick look round before I go to t'mill. Stay warm and dry image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Good morning. Heavy frost here...no one to blame but myself...should have used a torch at 11pm and gone in the garden over the last couple of weeks ( the only time I've had!, strangely I chose sleep instead).

Have a great day whatever you are all doing.
  • KEf, you could take leaves off now, it will cause the plant no problems and your flowers will stand proud.

Very windy and showery here. Think it will not be an outdoors day. So glad I got a lot done over the last two days.

Sorry to read of proposed builders plans. It can really affect you. I know

Hope you get a result finally DD
