Not quite nightshift KEF I went to bed at half ten but the wind howling round the house woke me up in the early hours so I had a coffee and lurked around the forum for a bit. Panda's a completely different matter
Still very windy and I've yet to take the dog out when I'll have a quick inspection for any damage.
Pdoc I'm much better at making the gardening to-do lists than doing what's on them. Congrats on your tickets
Have you decided where you're putting the new roses bekkie?
It got down to 6C overnight and Hefty hasn't eaten his supper - that's the first time he's missed it this year - looks like he knows British Winter Time has started.
Another coffee for me please KEF
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Well done Panda, thats exactly what we did......played our joker in the wrong round. Plus there were a couple of questions where our team disagreed. So the wrong answer went down. I must be more assertive ( oooh hark at me) and know I'm right. So we came 3rd
Off to see friends today. So have a lazy Sunday everyone and enjoy the extra hour.
Good Morning all - we will have to get used to a new type of day today. I expect we will run out of light to do everything we want to. Wind? what wind? Didn't notice anything last night - slept right through and very calm outside at the moment. Better go down to the allotment today to check nothing has blown about in the night.
Winds must have been focusing on Scotland last night - all calm here. Will have a lazy morning and then a walk at a local NT place - lots of trees and lakes - should be nice at this time of year.
forgot to mention that I'm go to try some white daffs this year - got some Thalia and Elka for a bed at the back of the house. Hoping they will look super sophisticated
And spurred on by pDoc's success, I will fill in my Wimbledon public ballot form today too
Just watched the Beechgrove Gardening programme on BBC2 and so sad it is the last one for this year - I will miss it's practical advice. Learnt this morning that peas and beans always pollinate true to type. Must go round the house now and change all the clocks.

Morning all. Horrible weather here but no damage done, will be doing indoor chores today when I feel more human.
Slept badly but I didn't get up for a nightshift like the others
Off for a look round to see what was happening after I clocked out
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Might just stay put!
Got all the bulbs finished planting yesterday so no urgency
But there again there are still the wallflowers
