Giggling here - you lot are on form todayimage

Wisley was lovely, as ever.  Fell in love with crab apple "gorgeous" (but thanks Woody and Fairy for your thoughts too ) - decided to come home and do a bit of research before purchasing a pair for the back of my flower garden.

OH bought an oak leaf hydrangea, and uncle found a daphne - so car was a bit leafy on the way homeimage.  Also visited a heather exhibition and found that there is a specialist nursery about a mile from us - we even know his neighbour.  I have planted a few in a difficult bank this year - if they thrive, i might be paying him a visit.

footie on the telly, so time for a glass of something and a catchup on here.  Have a great evening all.image

Glad you had a lovely day chicky. Hope you enjoy the oak leaf hydrangea. The colour of the foliage is lovely just now   image

I bought an oak leaf hydrangea this year and although it is green at the moment I am looking forward  to it changing colour like yours Fairgirl.

Didn't realise it had good autumn colour - it was bought because OH likes BIG leaves. If he had his way (which, of course, he won't) this place would look like Jurassic Parkimage

Oooooooohimage.  Something to look forward to - his is still green leaved......

The one I have in the ground is still green and covered in flowers - that one is in a pot as the bed it's going in won't be ready for a while.

It's nice because the ordinary hydrangeas don't have that foliage colouring as they die back. A real bonus, and one of the reasons I chose them too  image
