Hi all, back from my shooting training. The general view of the instructor was, that I could not hit a cows a##e with a banjo. However on the bright side, he said, your average Polar bear is a bit bigger target. I will go for further lesson nearer the time.
Sorry to hear some of you are poorly. My cure all should be just the tonic [ as long as you add the gin too ]
I am going for a drink tonight with a couple of ex colleagues. First time I have seen anyone from work since I left.
Need to go outside to plan where I am going to plant my tulips. Normally I just grow them in pots, but this year I am going to try some in one of the borders. I have chosen Negrita, as it is supposed to naturalise well.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Hi Pdoc - well, if you can't hit the polar bear perhaps you can frighten it away
Have a good evening with the ex colleagues - it's strange 'going back' - I thought I'd do much more of it than I have. Life is so much less stressful now and apart from chatting about our own personal circumstances there's not a lot to talk about - can't chat about work - apart from confidentiality issues I'm not involved so can't join in.
A couple of months ago I was asked to give a police statement re a case I used to be involved with (over 5 years ago). If I'd still been employed I'd have had the opportunity to refresh my memory by reading through the file, but as I'm no longer a local authority employee I was not allowed to read the records, although I wrote them - it's a good job I've got a good memory!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Yea Bekkie the weather is pants. But I think I'm just feeling a bit yuk. I really hate the dark nights with a passion so it could be that. Not on Nanna Duty for a week so I guess I have plenty of time to plant my latest purchases.
I ordered the Nerines on offer in the mag (which arrived yesterday) so I will have to sort myself out soon as I have tulips to plant as well.
doc - only problem is that polar bears run a bit faster than cows...
and why are you using banjos instead of a gun? I think you need to question the credentials of that instructor...
Interesting about Negrita - it's a very nice tulip. I've not bought any this year but I always use pots for them because of the conditions. If you're successful I may try that!
Weather is clearing up a little bit - at last. I've done nowt today
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Only in Sheffield could you be driving an American police car and be over taken by a Welsh ambulance! I think we both gave each other a funny look before we waved!
I've just received my replacement Kindle, hurray. The other one just kept turning itself off. I'm impressed with the service as I only phoned about the problem on Wednesday. Doesn't mean I'll be able to type any better though.
