Glad you enjoyed bonfire/fireworks last night Matty, there were a lot going off around here too.

Lovely bright day but really really cold , don't think ill bother going out today.
  • Hugs to Stacey and Archie xx.

Tasted "only"about 15 wines yesterday which, given that there were over a hundred on offer, was pretty abstemious, if that's the word. Lots of spitting and pouring into the bin. My chairman and I were very organised, and only tried the ones we needed for our shop. Having said our top price is about £14... we couldn't resist trying a £44 er, at the end. WOW.

Evening ol'boys dinner was excellent and a superb turnout by my year group, probably because the after dinner speech was by one of year. Hope we can keep up now that we have swopped addresses again. What a lucky generation we have been?

In half an hour the temperature dropped from 12C to 4C, think it's going to be a cold one. Been lovely to have a dry day & sun a big bonus.

Got last of bulbs that are going into soil planted and dogwood pruned and mess behind GH cut back.

Waiting for pork dinner to cook, wish it would hurry up.

Hope all feel okay now and no lingering sadness after remembrance services.

    Archie hugs x

What a spectacular day.  The sky seemed extra blue, and in the late afternoon light our beech trees looked like they were on fire!!

good stint of weeding done - nearly thereimage

  • Good evening image

What a lovely day today, sunshine and clear skies but quite cold.

Finished bubble wrapping the inside of our greenhouse but my feet got cold, so we came in.  Hopefully, we will do some weeding and leaf collecting tomorrow, it's all go in the garden still.

  • Hello forkers

has been a sunny day but I feel little rough so stayed inside today and have been watching more rick van man on his allotment on youtube

Hello KEF I know Monty started the seed sorting thing off, he should be doing mine maybe when they are all on a break from the tv shows they could come help me out with the seeds and garden sorting

  • Evening all. I managed toget out for a short time- and made my neighbour feel even colder as I was just wearing a summer dress.

Also sowed my sweet peas. Am I right in thinking they don't need to be heated at all David?

The paradise later on- if I can manage to stay awake long enough.

    Have a lovely evening everyone

  • Hello Potty sure you did make your neighbour feel cold. were you that warm?

not sure about the sweet peas I just so in spring time

sounds like some of you made the most of the sunny day out in the garden

  • Hello all image  Parade marched (or rather pushed) and Silence observed, a large Scotch and water (with thickener) taken by Pa and a very sweet hot chocolate with brandy taken by Ma which perked her up considerably image

We had a lovely Sunday lunch with son and daughter in law and a drive home through coastal East Anglia and Broadland in glorious autumn sunshine.

Hope we get some more days with sunshine like this.  On the down side, clear skies mean a drip in temperature, and as we neared home the gritters were out.
