I only meant it was very hard work and I was out of breath Steve.image

  • I am way too scared to go to a garden centre, OH says I haven't got control of what I have already yet, in fact don't even know half of what we have! Next year though, be right on top of it, truly. image

Thanks for tip about wire mesh Fairygirl, I know we have mice, they ate all my sweetpeas first time around in greenhouse. We do have a cat, but to be honest he is not much use, he is happy with one mouse a day and then goes for a long lie down!

DD - he looks a bit like the ginger cat I used to have . He was useless too - couldn't catch cold...image

Lesley - I forgot to answer your query re fairylet's glasses. Oldest has worn them for a few years, but she only has one pair. Her sight's altered a little so we got an updated pair and the old ones will be spare. Youngest was struggling to see the board in class, hence the visit. Don't have to pay for her lenses as she's 17, and didn't have to pay for oldest's as the frames were over a certain price. She's going to pay me back when she gets her first wage though as she's just got a part time job. At this rate I'll be getting a month's wages image

I've always quite fancied a trillium fidget, and they grow well up here - climate suits them. We will require pix image

There was nice dwarf Geum for those of you who like the bright orange ones. It was called 'Koi' - colour of a goldfish. I assume that's the reason for the name! image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Weird - I  used to have a ginger cat too DD and Fairy.  My first big pet.  I had sneaked mice into the house saying that I was looking after them for someone on holiday, then a rabbit - he was lovely and I wore my parents down eventually and got a cat.  The rabbit used to chase the cat round the gardenimage

All four of us need glasses.  Me and younger son have what used to be called a lazy eye and glasses don't work for that.  As a cheapskate he just gets one contact lensimage

I went blackberry picking today - two feet behind out back gateimage

Well done Verdun.image  If he was frightened and you 'saw him off' he will be less likely to risk it in future. How will we know it was you in the crimewatch footage?

It sounds as though there was a common goal in your meeting and you did get to put your points across.  I really hope you can come to a decision that will suit you and your Mum.  xx
