You crept in there OL. You are probably feeling a bit down for a number of reasons. The holiday is over, you've all been ill, hard work is ahead and to top it all your son is growing up. You still have all the lovely memories of them being little
Verdun, I trust you will make the right decisions and please remember the doctors will help you and your mum will have her input too. Don't look at it as final, look at it as lovely new beginning for your mum where she will be safe and happy once settled in xx
Well that's me £200 lighter after the optician....anyone want to buy two children? They're house trained - more or less. No reasonable offer refused....
DD - if you're struggling, put your bulbs in pots and when you've cleared the areas they're going into, you can either sink the pot in for this year, or carefully take them out the pots and plant them.
OL - you soon forget how sweet they once were when they have their big, ugly, horrible teenager moods... although mine are small rather than big! They're all lovely when they're asleep....
Hope he has a lovely birthday though!
Very long week OL...and also sad, as there's been some very offensive comments made...it's a no win situation whatever happens. It's become very divisive and unpleasant now.
Clearing up here now so I'll go and get on outside for a little while before I go to the nursery for a little peace and quiet
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Topbird - I was at a meeting this week and a lovely chap Mike Moat has already started an Open Garden scheme here, he is looking for volunteers for next year. I am not brave enough. Have a look at the website. www.opengardens.eu He was really nice, they have raised a lot of money for charity so far and also seems a lot more 'inclusive' than what they were calling the Yellow Book scheme in the UK.
Bulbs - so exciting are ;narcisse Rip Van Winkle, tulips, Van Tubergen, Happy Generation and Casa Grande, Allium Graceful, Crocus Grandes Fleurs and Fritillaria Meleagris or Oeuf de Vanneau. The pictures look lovely.
If I manage to stop day dreaming and imagining what this garden could look like and get some work done it might have a chance of being beautiful! Thanks for the tips re. bulbs. Also bit worried about mice, any ideas?

Just as far as my Mum's, in London, BeausMum. Off to Plymouth to sail for a few days from Sunday (and to look at a possible boat to buy), thenhome late Thursday night. I shall need a holiday aftetr that!
I've just done birthday cards: my sister-in-law, her son and her mother all have birthdays within a few days...
Oh, and cake-lovers, if you like Mr Kipling's offerings get yerself down to Sainsbury's where they're on special offer. Just bought a Manor House Cake for £1 to take sailing - we were requested to take one and my Mum believes her oven won't bake cakes....

Omg fairy that's a lot of money! But guess good eye sight is priceless
Ill take the little fairies off your hands if you like as I hear they cook!
Enjoy your afternoon at the nursery, sorry I'm nosey, is that where you work?
Did they both need glasses Fairy? It is a lot of money. I've just had a second reminder to have mine checked. I'll make sure I do it this time.
Hope you don't find anyone campaigning outside the nursery
. It's a worrying time.
Beaus - you'll be waiting a long time for a selfie from me
