First hour done in the garden here. I have found masses of toadstools in the shady bed where there is an old tree stump and have been gathering armsful of the stuff (yuk). There is a large bergenia there and the toadstools have been growing up between the leaves which have gone black. I was going to split it but don't want to transfer spores to another part of the garden Should I just get rid of it?
I believe you Steve, thousands wouldn't Instructed to have a lie in! I've heard it all now Hurry up and sort those pics and show us
Youre doing well Lesley, I ended up cleaning floors Yesterday was hoovering up beaus biscuits bits and today washing off his paw prints! It's not that I have a huge floor, it's cos I hate the job and put it off lol
Dont know about toadstools and what damage they do but I do know the mushroom things I have coming through where it's damp are easy paeasy to just pull up and chuck so if same with toadstools don't worry bout spreading spores and keep your lovely plant Bet I'll be corrected on that
Ok, so attempting to read, type and walk to the gym!
Lesley, i wouldnt worry too much about spreading spores, they will already be all over the garden, i doubt they will have actually harmed the berginia, its just gone manky where it touched, just keep picking the fungi off, it wint be fruiting for too much longer now anyway
While you are at it BM, nip in mine and pop the hoover round please
Back home - diagnosis confirmed - no complications so no plaster - splint for two weeks then try without. if its still painful splint for another week. if still painful go back, no driving while i need a splint.
fingers look like a row of little black puddings

Thanks Beaus and Bekkie. Think I'll blast the bits of with the hose and then pick off the dead leaves then divide in spring.
You watch where you're going Bekkie - we don't want another casualty
