Hi Folks, Well its very wet and soggy and likely to stay that way for the rest of the day so dont think any gardening is in the offing.

Verdun love to you and your mum hope she feels better soon.  Mums always picking up infections and its suprising how quickly they take a turn for the worse when they get older.

Fairy, I dont know you do it.  You seem to take on really heavy tasks.  Good on yer girl. Please make sure take before and after photos so we can see how all your hard work has paid off.

Hi Bekkie hope the shoulders a bit better today.  Im having to get a man in to tackle the conifers again as its a ladder job and wouldnt trust either of us to climb up there.  Enjoy your party (Im with you about dresses).

Hope you get your leak sorted BM and that BL feels better.

Im well jel that you can walk to the beach OL, I love the sea and the rougher the better.

I watched AT's programme on Sissinghurst last night.  I would love to go there, a bit of a drive for me but might look at B&B for next year, if anyone lives in the area and knows of other places to visit at the same time let me know.  I absolutely loved the white garden at night, it was so beautiful.

Off for a look around bye for now.

Hi Yvie - i keep promising myself a trip to Sissinghurst "next year" - will really do it one day image. A friend of mine recommends combining it with a trip to Marchants nursery, which she says is amazingimage. Maybe a forum trip for us southerners??

Had a mega lie in this morning - could hear the rain pitter-pattering, so knew I wasn't missing much image. Have a couple of hours work to get out of the way, then might make some sort of attempt to get this house in order - who knows when the next rainy day might be.

BM - got your email, about to reply.

So sorry about your Mum Verd - can only really send ((hugs)). Grateful that my Dad is still fit and healthy - just quite lonely image. Daughters can only do so much.

Hope shoulders improve (Dove and Bekkie), tummies settle down (Lizzie) and walks/drives/outings happen despite the rain (Lily and OL). Sure 8've missed someone - it'll come to me once I've pressed submit image

Cheese scones in oven - thought I'd better have something to offer the Lovely Builder if he's coming here after finishing where he's working and before he goes home for his supper - don't want him feeling faint in the bathroom image

  • Chickey....can you do Great Dixter as well while you are in Sissinghurst area... it's near Northiam, East Sussex. My favourite, try to go in the house, not big but charming.

Gg I can't think of a better thing to do than make apple pie with gash apples on a day like this. I am going to GC soon, I will probably be the only one there!

Might make a summer pudding for visitors. image
