Hi Bekkie, I have made the mistake of leaving a mixed hedge and it only causes more work in the long term. Mine grows incredibly quickly if I leave it. I now do it in Feb. and Sept. It looks better, and is thicker which benefits the birds and insects. My trimmer zips through the foliage and the cuttings can be composted because they are less woody... oops, that's me
Lily Pilly ice?!! OMG that's stop me moaning about rain
Glad you're off that naughty step star gaze Have you got any nice plans for today?
what is everyone up to today? I have new Beau sitter coming this morning as regular one on hols for month and then I need to finish what I started in garden yesterday, prob work in between the rain showers
Nothing planned for today Beaus mum, we were thinking of perhaps just going out and seeing where we ended up, but don't fancy going anywhere now as the rain is soooo heavy!.............maybe if it eases off a gc trip
Morning folks! just popping in on OH's laptop again I have read back lots, but can't really remember who's doing what, other than KEF eating chocolate! ((hugs)) to everyone anyway
Bit of a crisis here this morning - just before he left for work OH noticed water dripping down kitchen wall under bathroom shower! He'd just had a shower! Lovely Builder was going to come and re-seal bath/grouting etc when he redecorates after Ch****mas - now he's going to come later today or first thing tomorrow morning. Hence I've just had a wash rather than a shower and my hair will have to wait until tomorrow
I was going to edge the lawns that OH mowed yesterday - not going to happen now - all wet and soggy out there too! I couldn't do it yesterday 'cos guess what? Remember I cleaned the windows although OH told me not to 'cos I had a bad back the last time - well, back's fine .... but yesterday my neck and shoulder were agony - heatpad and painkillers all day, and had to lie flat on my back all night 'cos it hurt to turn over. It's a bit better this morning
Like Nut, I have faith in an Indian summer - how else is my bumper crop of tomatoes going to ripen?
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Morning all A bit dull here and windy, just for a change!!
Planning along walk to the beach and back today, I need to work off the naughty biscuits that I ate last night.....all in the interest of my job
No dreams last night, I was very restless and slept rubbish! The dreams I have been having I think are linked to the new business and a new phase in our lives, I find it really interesting how you can dream of something that bears no resemblance to what is going on but it does! Snakes can also mean healing.....maybe me wishing my ankle would finally be totally better

Morning all.
My email notifications aren't working this morning.
Forecast says sun and 27° for this afternoon, but now it's 16° and cloudy. I have to type up minutes from a meeting last week.
Tummy is a bit not right this morning, hope I haven't caught son's tummy bug. His doc said it's doing the rounds at the moment.
