Isnt there an old wives tale about using banannas to ripen fruit? image

Morning all. My tomatoes are still very green too LP. It's turned very cold since the start of August so the temps have just gone from one extreme to the other very suddenly. I'l leave mine on the vine for a while yet and hope they get red at some point!  Always autumnal here as soon as it's August anyway but the daytime temps have been low too. Rowans have been covered in berries since the end of July.

Verd - those church roofs don't repair themselves you know...the bishops probably just spend the money on bingo and ice cream anyway....imageimage

Looking quite dubious here weather wise. I've got a washing needs going out and I don't know if it's worthwhile. If it stays dry I might get a bit more done to the new screen between my apple 'boxes' and some deadheading or plant moving. I'm getting as bad as Verd about moving stuff five minutes after I've planted it.

Have a good day all image

Morning allimage.  A day of light garden pottering callsimage.  Might even sit out there later and read a mag, if I can find a blanket, scarf, gloves and hotwaterbottle. (shivery smilie required please Daniel).

enjoy Parham Ggirl, and the picnic Dove.  And very glad LPilly survived the winds this time - we live in woodland, and know exactly how scary it can get when trees are falling all around youimage

Morning everybody - bit chilly & breezy here too. Lawns could do with a trim after all the rain so that's my job for this morning.

Enjoy BBQ's, trips and picnics - hope the sun shines for you image

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Thanks for empathy everyone, it still pretty breezy but feeling more confident.

beaus mum sorry about the car, can I offer you a lift anywhere?

chicky don't you find it amazing how much the landscaper can change when just one tree comes down?
