Good morning all. Been for the morning walk and didn't get wet. So far so good.
The bulbs in the catalogues are gorgeous but I can't keep any in the ground as they always rot. I will use containers this year too. Don't know why I didn't think of that before
Off to Edinburgh to meet friends at lunchtime so h****w**k will have to be a lick and a promise today
Morning all I didn't choose the tulips, I was glued to Good Will Hunting but couldn't stay awake to watch it all so a good job I've recorded it
Glad you are in the mend Clari and snot coming out is good.....better out than in as they say
Ive heard mixed opinions on leaving tulips, I can't see the point if throwing something away if there's a possibility it might flower so I've taken the chance on keeping them, but will get more each year so I'm not left without any, that's my train of thought in that one anyway
Morning all. SM done, despite severe dose of man flu.
I ordered my bulbs earlier this week. I grow tulips [ except for species ] in pots and replant the biggest bulbs from the previous year. I also like to add a new type of Narcissus and a few more Crocus to the borders. Also got some more Camassia for the bog garden.
Nice to see you back Chicky.
Hope you are well soon Clari.
The dentist was a disaster yesterday, a lot of work needed. I do not know how they can justify the prices they charge.
Have a good day everyone.
Finally I feel an apology is in order for anyone I upset over my support for a certain person. I received a PM from him, thanking me for my support and then going on to be very X-rated ad not very nice. My support was clearly misplaced
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Morning all. Not a bad day here so I hope I can get on with something before the lousy weekend of rain that's forecast - it must be because I'm going to the theatre tonight to see Singin in the Rain
Lesley - I wouldn't do the licking - I find a damp sponge is better...or just the promise
Great to hear oldest chicklet has done well chicky.
A lot of 'tulip talk' on here - I love them but having bought around 500 bulbs last year I may have to rein myself in. I do them in pots - much safer. They usually get battered by weather here so I pick a few and place carefully! Lots of narcissus and crocus though. Haven't heard of ladykiller but it sounds similar in colour to Snow Bunting which is very pretty.
Have a good day everyone
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Morning Punk and Fairy Punk, if it's the certain person I'm thing of I don't think you need to apologise, I think a few of us were taken in....I won't be doing it again that's for sure!! Once bitten twice shy
KEF - the car, nothing too exciting I'm afraid and not the dream car yet because we have to be sensible
