Lesley , good to have you back, bet you feel like you need another holliday after looking after your mom and dad!
Ive only been out a few hours and there are new plants, pidgeons, flip flops, garden makeovers- allsorts happening! Glad you have all had good days
I havent managed a meal yet, so may try and do that in a moment, could do with a few more hours in the day, if anyone hears of a tardis going for cheap, let me know
Hi Folks Not Homer is going home tonight. Phoned the number on his leg ring and apparently he is part of a new flock of young pidgeons that have only just been let out for the first time, so hes not for the chop. Thank goodness. His owner doesn't live too far away. I'm quite sad to see him go now. Hubby will have to find a new project now, I'll have to see what I can find him. Re catching him, it was a fluke really we had a box that was propped up with a piece of wood and we tied cotton to the wood. The plan was Not Homer would go inside to peck at the seed and we would pull the cotton and Ta Dah he would be caught. It failed a few times, wind blowing it over, Not Homer getting away in the nick of time etc. But today he got his feet caught up in the cotton and couldnt take off because the piece of wood held him back. A bit of untangling and now he is my recycling box with a tray of seed and cup of water as happy as Larry. Not convinced he wont return once they let him out again but we'll just have to see.
Yvie, I know I'm being very nosey, but couldn't help noticing, that one of your bricks is the other way round to the others......is it a commeritive ( spelling?!) brick?
