Just come in to make the tea. Lovely day in the garden... Does anyone else have eyes bigger than their garden? This autumn I have to make some hard decisions about shrubs which have outgrown my small patch, mostly things I've nursed back to health from the "reduced" bench, or grown from seed or cuttings, and therefore see as "old friends". I find it really hard just to dig things up & throw them away - and though I can give some things to friends, the big stuff just won't move successfully.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Glad you had lovely day in the garden Liri and you're very good getting the tea on. OH on way home and has been given choice of fish and chips out of freezer or takeaway
I'll be with you in autumn with a big move around, hopefully our friends on here can help us design around what we have as it is a shame to lose your "old friends"
I might do a few before and after pix at some point, now that there's actually quite a few plants in the garden! One bit just looks like an explosion in a nursery though - full of plants with nowhere to go yet, plants that need to go somewhere else, and assorted 'stuff'
Young Fairy is making her excellent Bolognese so I'm off to cut the grass
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
If I had that beach to walk on, Verdun, I'd be demanding one too. Trouble with being in the middle of the country is you're just about as far as it can be from the Sea. I could do with a paddle now. 315 miles from here to Porthminster terrace in St Ives. 5 hours on a good run, twelve and a half on a bad one.
Just filled in my passport form in blue ink.. Its got to be in black. Start again, ooops. Good job I picked up two sets of forms.
The paper last week said the sea off Devon was over 20C. The highest I have ever known it before was 18C one June, off of Penzance. 20C is positively tropical.
Hi all, very busy today, started in the garden at 7 this morn. Dug out another played out border , went to GC and came home with 6 rudbeckia and 3 totally tangerine geums. Have layed them out with the helianthemums I saved a while back from the border which is now a terrace, and I will add a pale blue scabious if I can find some. May have a look tomorrow. The bed contains a prunus serrula at one end too.
Off to pub for a meeting to discuss next year's hortsoc programme.

I'll say ta ta now. Hope all salt miners have nice weather when they get home
Going to dine outside and participate in a glass of something nicely chilled.
No more posts tonight in case I add to another post. No doubt there will be another offering in the morning.
Have a good evening all
