Anyway, Panda, glad you all had a lovely day and it stayed dry for you image Look forward to pics image

I thought it was a bit late for you RM, I have a feeling I forgot to reply to a text today...sorry.

I have put my expert negotiating skills to good use and OH has agreed to borders around the trees....more planting less grass, whoop whoop yippeeeeee imageimage He has also said that the grass at the front doesn't grow, too many trees and not enough sun so he is thinking of taking it up (it's not very big anyway) and putting stones down.......I am already putting my ideas from GW to good use and he has agreed to Cordylines, grasses and pots between the stones.......I'm doing very well.   Dare I push for my fruit patch??? image

Ooohh! Eden 88 , boule de neige, Alan titchmarsh konig von danemark ( that is definitely spelt wrong! ) mme Alfred carriere, and I may chat to people at rose nursery when I finally get there if Paul's himalayan musk would be ok on planned pergola, I won' t get all on that list, want some suggestions for good old fashioned fragranced shrub roses, pink, already got Gertrude, am trying to take cuttings as would like another, want some that are good for cutting, I have quite a few climbers and 'need' more shrubs

    Lovely little sunflower Yvie.

Busy day, have cleaned 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and windows, made up 6 beds, ironed a load of pillowcases and done a lot of watering. Didn't water the pots yesterday as was sure there would be a huge storm, there wasn't. Been hot and muggy, still no storm. But it was forecast.

Daughter & her OH and 2 grandchildren, 5 & 3 coming plus daughter's friend and her 2 children.

Veggie garden is full of weeds. Lost control. But we had spinach, new baby fennel and potatoes from it tonight with our fish. Runner beans and French beans and courgettes going mad.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
