Been trying to catch up with everything I missed yesterday... didn't get home until after 10 last night as I had to go straight from work and pick daughter up but the coach didn't get back until just before 10.  I was falling asleep in the car waiting for her!!

I hope you all had a good day yesterday it looks lovely outside at the moment.  In catching up it seems that I've missed a lot lately, SGLily you seem to be leaving work soon, not sure if you're retiring, taking redundancy or have won the lottery but I wish you all the best.  It seems like you're really happy and I confess I would walk out in a heartbeat if I could.  Maybe we should have a daily countdown until you finish, and then a party on the day...with cake? image

Anyway time for another cup of tea then a little look at the garden before it's time to get the troops up.

Good morning all image  It's soggy here, but at least the wind has dropped.  Lots of tidying and staking to be done when it dries out a little.

    Panda - Hurrah!!! imageimage

OL, hwk here today too - I need to get the polisher out and tackle the parquet - hasn't been done properly for ages.

Verdun - glad you enjoyed your meal - is Mum going home today?

Morning all ....... Right I have decided to clear the bed under the grapevine..... It's a mishmash of tatty plants.. It's a narrow bed in full sun but what to plant mmmmmmmm ....... I want something low- mid height so not to distal act from the grape vine, bushy to fill the space with scented flowers to fill the house with scent as it's by the patio doors in the living room.... The soil is sandy and quite shallow..... So apart from lavender ( which is all I can come up with) any suggestions????????

Morning Stacey - my grapevine is at the back of the herb bed, so we've got thymes and sages around the base.  I think lavender sounds good - you could get some of the more unusual ones - I saw a low growing pale pink one the other day - looked lovely. image

Stacey - if you go down the lavender route, check out the floral marquee at HC - there is a stunning display of all sorts of colours - you could mix a few of them for a different lookimage

Morning all - hope mini-Daisy enjoyed her schooltrip - sounds like a long day. One more day til the weekend - this week has just flown byimage

Morning all!  Yeah Stacey, I was going to say white lavender.  I have heavy soil so don't grow it but would like to.  I have some lavender in pots but don't seem to do too well.  One day I'll get a large oblong trough for under window and try that.  Suspect pots aren't big enough.

shattered.  Not been sleeping well this week. Night out last night.  Looking forward to getting  home from salt mine today, putting mini -me to bed, then following suit!

    Morning all.

Gosh I've been busy! Managed to do some gardening yesterday after mum told me its looking 'a bit overgrown'!

    Not caught up but

has Clarii won on the lottery?

Lily got so peed off at work and handed notice in?

Lots of other stuff happening on here too, but not really read much

Hope everyone and their loved ones are ok. Best wishes if any problems.

In the garden I have chopped back merrily at all sorts to get some 'shape' and order back - just hope I've left enough on so when they die back there is enough on them to give lovely plants next year.

Crap work today but new work is great .

    Have a good day all.

    Morning all!

Hands still aching from yesterdays fire engine cleaning. There's still some work to be done but she's looking lovely! Spent a lot of time on the ladder wondering if I could trust this lot with some hanging baskets to add a bit of colour to the place.

Hope you all have a wonderful day - nearly the weekend!

    Hello MrsG image

Wish Clari had won the lottery - looks like they're making her redundant image

Yes, Lily has handed her notice in - she's going to join me in utter idleness image

Glad the new work is good - ignore the other stuff image

Verdun's Mum's been a bit poorly but looks like she's returning home soon.

Haven't seen Pdoc for a while - his Mum's been a bit poorly too.
