Just in for a spot of lunch. Had a busy morning; potted up the cannas, although they are still in the porch, rather than the lounge; planted a few odds and ends that have been in the greenhouse since the autumn.

Have so far managed to avoid any hard work, but I think some digging is needed.

Home earlier than usual - a sick chicklet needed a fevered brow mopping (well, more to the point, needed hugs from her Mum) - think she is now on the mend.

Sorry if i offended this morning - Dove was right that i was moaning about workers who are supposed to have the weekend off, but choose to work - and then expect others to do the same.  Had just had a sneaky peek at my work Blackberry, and was having to formulate my excuses ......."but i had snowdrops to plant" just wasn't going to cut it image

Really good day today. Spent a few hours in the garden, planting, weeding and tidying; got dirty, it felt like proper gardening.

Need to cook tea, need a drink and need a bath, not sure in which order.

No gardening today, absolutely tipping down and a thunderstorm this afternoon, 4°. Short powercut.

Cleaned bedroom and changed sheets this morning. Did ironing this afternoon, BUT while watching the lovely Geoff Hamilton in his ornamental kitchen garden! Lovely OH had bought the 3 DVD set from Amazon for me.

Puncdoc take a drink up to the bathroom to sip while in the bath, then slip into something comfy and cook tea.

Well done Dove for the weight loss

Work today for me but at least I came home in the light

Chicky - hope chicklet better soon. There seems to be a lot of viruses around at the moment

No gardening today unfortunately - just waiting for latest batch of seeds to sprout. Chilli seeds seem to be taking an age. Dove - was it you mentioned to soak them in tea or am I going mad??imageimage

Well the greenhouse is built! Hurrah! Took WAY longer than was planned, mostly due to one of the main bits of wood being split right down the length so had to wait a day for a replacement. Cue much shouting, sulking and stropping, but is now done. image

Just needs the shelving and staging in, and can get planting!
