Hello all image Lovely and sunny here but windy.  'Hot chic' last night was lovely, I love the way everyone but me notices typos/autocorrect errors when I'm shattered imageimage Anyway, I'm still shattered!!  Went to Ludlow today and A49 closed due to a bad accident so big detour down country roads with beautiful houses.

Thank you for all your lovely comments about the wedding pics and I hope you didn't mind me sharing a few (I was asked though otherwise I wouldn't just post them).

So very true what you have been saying about being happy in your jobs,  Mr Orchid hasn't been happy for some time now so big changes afoot, I can't say much else right now but we are all in charge of our lives and it isn't a dress rehearsal so sometimes you just need to take a chance....which is excited and terrifying at the same time!!  As for me, well  think I'm going to get in home weekend gardening courses image

Off for a mooch and no wine for me tonight.....detox for a while.....well until Thursday image

I was a gardener (of sorts) for a while, was shockingly bad at it! Actually really like being a housewife, but the pay is crap! image

Clari re: jobs. I worked for a charity for 20yrs, on one occasion we advertised a job for a Carer Support Worker, not hands on personal care role for the person with dementia, but visiting and supporting the family, obtaining benefits, giving practical advice, explaining the illness, and giving emotional support. One lady rang to ask if it was worth her applying as she had no formal qualifications, and was well over 27 image but had family experience of the illness. I explained we were looking for the right person not something on paper.

She did apply, I didn't interview her but she got the job. She turned out to be the most empathic, kind, and practical help above and beyond her role person I ever knew. She turned into a wonderful friend and even helped my family in ways I couldn't when my Dad became very ill. If there is something that you have a yearning to do go for it. There is no better feeling than being told that you have helped and made a difference to someone's life. image

MrsG- what's that saying? Fortune favours the bold image

You're right OL - never too late to change your mind. We work for a lot of years when you think about it, so if there's something else out there 'calling' him - why not give it a shot. You hear so many people saying 'I wish I'd done that ...but....'. Huge word - 'but' - isn't it?

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
