  • Morning all,  thank you for my big boy's birthday wishes, it's quite strange that 16 years ago I had only been a mummy for just under 5 hours, the time has gone so fast.

Busy busy day (again) so will have to dash in a minute.

Sorry to hear about your mum Punk, thinking of you and sending hugs x

Thought I was still dreaming this morning. A white mouse was eating dropped sunflower seeds by the back door, along with the back door vole. Disturbed by great tits, it headed towards the compost heap, while the back door vole went back into the door sill.

Cloudy here. I was expecting sunshine today for a day out.

  • Good morning all, had a quick flick through to see how you all are, busy as usual I see. Sorry to see news of poorly people, very best wishes to all.

My son was 7 a couple of weeks ago, can't imagine the feeling of him reaching 16, it just goes so quick, of course you want them to grow up and be independent little beings, but nothing like cuddling a little baby!

My bulbs have arrived, very excited, but have a lot of weeding to do before they go in. I have learned this year to be patient, no mean feat for me, so am going to do all the preparation 'by the book' - honest.

Bedding plants have had a second wind too so that that has messed up my plans to get some winter flowering pansies and bellis daisies in too.

Project for next week is to clear a very overgrown and neglected border, hoping it will be a bit cooler, will post some before and after pics, if nothing else to keep me motivated and 'on task' which is another one of my weaknesses!

    Enjoy your day all. image

Hi everyone - quick pop in. Sorry to hear of the problems some of you are facing & the injuries others have sustained. Glad we (ie Snoodle !) seem to have sorted out getting Dove to W Acre next week - really looking forward to that.

Take care of yourself everybody & hugs & support for those in need of it.

Absolutely glorious weather here on the Dordogne - Lot border & have passed some very pretty private gardens on our outings. Really hope they get a French NGS going next year.

Morning each.  Back from Belgium and France (sadly not the Dordogne, although it was quite hot enough in Boulogne t'other day) to my Mum's in London where it's cloudy.  Several gardening jobs to do here as well as buying belated (whoops!) birthday card for sis-in-law.

Hope all have a good day image

  • DD, I agree so much and have said before that I would give anything for one day with my littlies again.  I have been a bit weepy this morning, cant really explain it but maybe that's why?  They just grow up so quickly, although I am very proud of the man that he is becoming it's so hard too image
