Still watching TDF, they are just coming into London so I'm watching out for Chicky and Mr Chicky but the only yellow I can see is on the cyclists image

Gardengirl, those seedlings in the pot look more like a corydalis than a rose. I'll check on the old PMs and see if I can work out what I sent you.

I've looked and they don't do back far enough.

Found a label near pot that says rosa rugosa could it be that?

That has Nutcutlet sowed last year

Hi Gardengirl, they aren't roses, they're something much softer. If not corydalis maybe thalictrum?

Rose seedlings are obviously shrubs right from the start and the base starts to get woody early on.

Oh Bekkie, that really made me laugh, its the sort of think I would do, I remember writing an essay at school once and the octopuses' tentacle in my story ended up as 'octopuses testicle'  I bet that raised a laugh in the staff room.

  • Hi Gg, it will flower one day, which will help identification. Thalictrums throw up tall spikes of delicate pink flowers I'm my experience.

I'd pot them up unless your soil is very kind. They'd never get a hold in my soil at this time of year
