    2 weeks tomorrow we are going to Center parcs in the lakes and I am hoping we can get some of that fun back, just for a weekend image

    I love Crataegus, had one when we lived in Kent, so pretty. Don't remember the smell. Fallen flowers got mown up, not as bad as flowering cherries.

    I've seized up. I've been tackling bits of garden that haven't seen fork or loppers for at least 2 years. Possibly more judging by the size of some of the tree saplings. But I can see the Cornus mas now, Almost too late.  C. siberica has appeared from behind the dead stalks of mega-nettles and plume poppies. I'm not going to cut it down, When all the weeds are dealt with I'll do some layering to extend the patch
