I watch them as entertainment not gardening programmes.
If I has loads of cash I would build a wall round my garden instead of a fence and replace the leylandii at the bottom of the garden (kept due to privacy issues) with a pleached hedge.
I watched it this week despite not liking it last week. I quite liked the overall design apart from the children's play area. The raised planters were good but the lawn looked a bit ropey and not well laid. Wonder how much ground prep they did for it before laying the turf. The geo dome I think will turn into a place to put the kids toys and where was the washing line????? Maybe nobody hangs washing out these days!!! Cost wise I think it would have turned out to be much cheaper than the one they did last week. The auto robot was a bit OTT for the little bit of grass that was there and at over £2500 a bit extravagant. The agave should def have been a nono esp at kiddies head height.

I am enjoying the new series Yes they spend lots but it's nice to take some good ideas for our own gardens. Really loved the ideas from last week cape cod garden Going hydrangea crazy now
I don't usually watch it but I caught the last five minutes. Glad I didn't see the other fifty five.... Looked b****y awful
I'm a supporter of 'makeover' shows because I feel if it encourages people to get out and use their garden and enjoy it, they just might get properly interested....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I blame Chelsea with its stainless-steel/chrome-plated/plastic/mirrored monstrosities for AT's hare-brained schemes.
For what it's worth, I'd be absolutely furious if anyone descended on my patch and turned it into something like that.
