Found his item in the radio times - monty is so smug.I will not watch - waste of time watching him try to garden and its all veg stuff. he is dull and not so good as Toby so I will do anything rather than see him again.
Each presenter has been helpful, knowledgeable and very differant- as are we all. Sorry Alys & Toby have moved on - wish them well in their new endeavours. Lovely to have Monty back- he has a wonderful natural style and I have put many of his ideas into practise in my Garden. Hope working in his own Garden keeps the stress down- so it does not effect his health.
Isn't it amazing how some people dislike Monty and others Toby. I did think that Toby was trying to be Geoff Hamilton and things were rather basic and boring not that geoff was,and I understood the loss of ratings. Also there was far to much grow your own veg type articles. Monty is also far to interested in veg this is not my cup of tea but I think the new format will be better balanced with the new/old team.
Having Monty back means GW is returning to normal, he really knows his stuff and is a true son of the soil. Fabulous news!! Sad that Alys won`t be there though, her permaculture and forest garden ideas are very important to the changing face of the planet and i would like to see more of this on GW.
My wife and I are very pleased that Monty Don is coming back on screen again for Gardeners World. We looking forward to see it again in Spring. Wishing Monty al the best. Kindly Regards,
