I'm hoping for an operation in the autumn too @floralies. I have a prescription for x-rays on knee and hip and he wants to see me in May. He has said he will do the hip first and I know jolly well that he knows jolly well, the hip will be done after summer - in September. Suits me.
Hello everyone. I would just like to give you all my grateful thanks for putting up with my often long rambling posts over the last year or so. You are such a wonderful group and I'm going to miss Forkers so much in its familiar family friendly concept. My special thanks must go to @Dovefromabove for keeping us all 'tuned in' month after month especially after all her trials of the past year. All the very best to Rob, Wonky and the rest of her family as well. I'm off to try to register with GC shortly and hope to catch some of you there and maybe to post when I manage to find my way around in the future. So all the very best my friends, stay safe, look after yourself and HAPPY GARDENING xx
I feel like writing "don't be so sad/upset " . All is still there on GC , but I suspect/know something will be lost from here, and is very sad ... I feel it, but I'm not as impacted by it due to being here such a short time. It's a bit (great for some) loss, but sometimes it's just time to go. Sorry for all of you that have been here for so long and built such a lovely community .
Yorkshire, ex Italy and North East coast. Growing too old for it!
This is still the first call of the morning. Every time I open the pc I do it to go on GC but then want to see what is happening here first. Sorry you are both still having a rough ride with your knees/backs/joints @floralies@tui34. @AnnaB I hope to see you soon on GC, they have been extremely generous and patient with us. @diggersjo we will try to do our best on GC, glad to see you with us there. @Lazyweed nice to meet you. So many of you live in Norfolk/Suffolk great places, I would too if circumstances had been different.
We are having glorious weather - too hot for this time of the year. Yesterday was 23°C!! According to the nice weather man, we are due to a 10°C drop in temperature later in the week. It is spring, I suppose, but this is weird.
An almost last expression for all the Josephs and Josephines on this site: Pour la Saint Joseph, beau temps, promesse de bon an.
Let's hope we are going to have a good growing summer!!
Hello everybody, my thanks also to all the very kind and interesting posters on this thread which have helped me over the years - I don't know when I first joined but it's been a long time.
I'm also posting to GC but have as others have said, this is still my first port of call in the morning whilst I have my coffee. Strange to think I won't be doing it tomorrow.
A fond goodbye to all those who are not joining GC and to those who do, see you over there.
Morning all, this maybe the last one on here? I'm looking forward to the party! Can i have a last smooch under the glitter ball with all the lovely young men on here please? 🥳

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Tea is on for me here still @Dovefromabove .

I've said good morning on GC too, but I will miss it here. Hope to meet all of you over there. Looking forward to your rambly posts over there @AnnaB!
