Good afternoon everyone. We have snow here and it’s lying, but supposed not to last long. We are a bit lower lying than you @punkdoc, so I don’t expect it will get very deep here. Blimey @Dovefromabove, you could do without that. I think that young man is going to be in for a bit of a shock regarding who is at fault. He needs to visit charm school, too, by the sound of things 😏. I hope you don’t get whiplash.
That’s such a pain, @Dovefromabove. Watch out for delayed shock too. Other driver sounds like a right little brat, but will get his come-uppance when he tries to renew his insurance. Or his poor mum will, good chance he will be off her insurance and won’t be driving for quite a while.
Oh Dove what a bummer. Whatever was that young man thinking - driving without care and attention springs to mind, let alone his shocking attitude afterwards. Pleased to see that you will be getting a hire car so promptly. Please look after yourself, particularly with your neck already being 'iffy'. Bangers, beans and mash sound just perfect - comfort food, always good after a bit of a shock.
Evening all, blimey, Dove, bit of a disaster that, you loved your sporty car. What a prat though, that will take him down a peg or two and I hope his mum reads him the riot act. I do hope your neck will be okay. When I had a similar accident due to President Obama suddenly deciding to go to Stonehenge, the garage told me that the boot floor was crumpled so the car would be written off as uneconomic to repair. The insurers told me I could keep the car, they would pay me the insured sum, minus some fee and I could then keep the car provided I got it approved by the DVLA as being safe to drive. Worth a thought if you love the car?
Apparently South Devon has had a months worth of rain in one morning! I expect your local roads might get flooded again @Ergates so be careful if you're out and about.
OH and his friend were out most of the day looking at an old car for sale so I had a blissful few hours on my own. I did butterflied seabass with new potatoes and veg for dinner with a strawberry/clotted cream GU cheesecake for afters - yummy.
I did wonder about that @Lizzie27 so I got son to show the photos to the mechanic he uses for the work vehicles … Edward says that there may well be a structural problem as the impact was on the corner … it could have skewed it so to speak. I’m also thinking that I have found the boot lip a bit high to load/unload heavy shopping … I might look around for something a bit more practical… it’ll have to be cheap tho.
Anyway … time for bed … night night folks … sleep tight … sweet dreams 🛌 😴

I hope you are ok @Dovefromabove. Comfort food and a cosy night for you - and anyone else who would benefit for that matter.
Awful heavy rain here. Driving was horrible. Glad it’s not snow though - that is a hassle and a faff I don’t need.
A new red Mazda CX-5 is parked outside!

@coccinella, glad to hear you're relatively ok.
