    Hi all

Snowing heavily here, I think we are going to get a lot.
I managed my first walk without sticks yesterday, so more progress, but I am suffering a bit today.
I have resorted to Nytol to help me sleep. I think Melatonin would be better, but I would have needed to see a GP and that can take a few weeks in these parts.

    Stay safe everyone.

    Morning all.

It's been raining and the forecast says there will be more.

Washing of bedding today. Washing gets hung in the smaller spare bedroom where it dries quite well.

We are going to friends for dinner tonight. Mustn't stay late as we have to get up early tomorrow to go to London.

    Morning all.
Well we had the rain and the drop in temperature but no snow. It missed us, may have caught the northern tip of Wales but seems to be falling from the midlands upwards.

I hope you dont intend to go out in the snow @punkdoc, glad to read that you have been managing some good walks but I do think you should at least take one stick with you as it gives the feeling of security and enables one to walk properly. Without a stick one can tend to get very up tight in the lower back area through fear of tripping or stumbling, and this does no good at all - take it from one who knows.

In case I dont catch you early enough tomorrow @Busy-Lizzie, good luck with the London journey and I hope it all goes smoothly for your OH regarding his visa.

Fingers crossed for the meeting @D0rdogne_Damsel, I'm sure both you and your wonderful restaurant will be a great success.

Keep warm folks and stay safe, Spring is a day closer.

Thanks, @AnnaB, good advice. I am still taking one stick with me, and no walking today the snow is already quite deep.

Woke up with no specific plans for the day, except that it’s been raining overnight, and neither of us fancy the jobs we have on the list! Did our usual default of heading up to the Donkey Sanctuary, where we have had a delicious breakfast and are now relaxing over our coffee. I’m reading through the forum, and OH is reading some computer / electronics stuff in preparation for his latest project ( an outside camera that will relay video of the garden wildlife without needing wires - yes, you can buy those, but as he says, where’s the fun in that? No comment from me, I have different ideas of fun!)
No view to speak of, but the fog is lifting, still can’t see the sea yet.
Glad you are managing better with the walking, @punkdoc, but a shame to now be curtailed by the snow.
Your new beau sounds very keen @D0rdogne_Damsel! Just don’t get swept off your feet while you are getting to know him better! Did he come to your birthday party? What do your friends think of him? Always good to get a ( relatively) unbiased opinion of him! I’m definitely envious though!
Hope your neck continues to improve, @Dovefromabove. Mine is fine now, the X-ray showed some mild but not unexpected age related changes, but I am making a big effort not to read my iPad on my lap. Seems to be helping, making sure I don’t sit around with my head down and my neck bent.

    Good morning everyone.....whoops afternoon!!

Beautiful day here expecting a high of 20°C.  Sorry for the Forkers who are experiencing rain, sleet and snow!!  I did manage to dig over one bed of the veggie garden yesterday.  A 30-minute limit turned into 45 minutes but that part is done and although my hp and knee are sore - in my head - it's "that's done" !!  I rested in the afternoon with a hottie on my buttock!!

Not good news about your neck @Dovefromabove but crick necks have a habit of suddenly fixing themselves as the "crick" goes back into place!! Ā Hope that is what is will do. Ā I think your dream depicts that you feel restricted.

Onwards and upwards eh @punkdoc ? Ā Good progress!! Ā Can you walk around the house - inside? Ā

Good news @coccinella - wouldn't it be great if the medics could find that allergy!!

Good news for you too @D0rdogne_Damsel - enjoy the attention. Ā French men are very ardent lovers and you will get thoroughly spoiled. Ā I bet the SMS are going back and forth like mad with lots of emoticons!! Ā Get swept away!! Ā St Valentine's Day next week!!

And on that note, I hope everyone gets thoroughly spoiled today, too!!

Hey ho … well, that was a fun morning … there I was, driving OH to work, and I paused at the junction of the slip road before pulling out across the bus lane into the right hand lane, when a young (mid 20s?) chap in an Astra rammed me from behind.Ā

His considered opinion was that I’m a ā€˜stupid old woman’ and it’s all my fault. He phoned his parents for the car insurance details and I heard his mother explain that if he hit me in the rear that would be his fault! Ā He didn’t believe her. Ā A police officer stopped and checked we were ok explained things to him.

Ā Sadly I think my little MiTo is likely to be written off … not only has it got rear bumper and back panel damage but the drivers side rear side panel is has quite a large a ā€˜crumple’ near the petrol cap area šŸ™„.Ā

My head did go forward but not back cos Alfas have really good headrests, and I feel ok, but the insurers have flagged up the possibility of whiplash, just in case.Ā

OH is getting a taxi back from work this afternoon … Hastings are sorting me out a hire car.Ā
Hey ho …. worse things happen at sea … apparently šŸ™„ šŸ˜‰Ā

Afternoon everyone,Ā  dark wet and miserable hereĀ  Ā weather-wise anyhow.
Oh heck @Dovefromabove you could have done without that just as things were picking up too.
Glad IĀ  got to the plots yesterdayĀ  Ā even though I still can't do much, too wet to do anything now for a bit.

Sorry to hear that, @Dovefromabove. Whiplash can be delayed, so watch out and take it easy.
