Towards the end of July last year my wife badly broke her tibia and had to have a rod, plate and numerous screws and pins inserted. The consultant said at the time it could take up to 18 months to heal. Today, less than 8 months on, she had an appointment with the same consultant and he has told her he doesn't need to see her again because it has healed so well and so quickly. Massive sense of relief all round.
Thanks everybody. Neither of us realised how stressed we had become in the lead up to the meeting with the consultant. It should have been over a month ago but was postponed. We both slept straight through last night for the first time in several weeks.
We can now go on holiday without concerns about her leg.
