  • Oh dear. No wonder the cyclist I waved to gave me a funny look!
It was absolutely horrible weather all day down here. It didn't stop raining. The dog and I were very wet after our walk, such a performance to get togged up in waterproofs, then untogged and everything hung up to dry, dog toweled down because he was cold as well. Ughh!
We had a lovely Christmas meal, we were joined by a couple from Russia who are new members of my daughter's diving club. They have been living in the UK for many years but we introduced them to several traditional Christmas dinner dishes they had never had before which was fun.

Glad you had a lovely Christmas meal with your friends,  I entertained some Italian friends one year.  They don’t have tradition Christmas dinner and loved it.

It was funny though as she brought her sister and another man with her, who I assumed was her boyfriend,  so being the bestest host,  I put them in our double bed and we slept on cushions on the floor.  No one mentioned it at the time but next morning Louisa said they weren’t partners at all just general friends  But they didn’t want to say in case they upset me.  We did all laugh about it after.

Karen has had a change of scenery and has been out on the moors, she found a small reservoir that neither of us knew about.

Lovely photos @CatDouch. I read "A Donkey in the Meadow" when I was young which was given to me because I had a donkey.

I've seen our first bud on the daffodils today.
  • Noticed some yellow crocus in flower in a council flower bed yesterday, also the first daffodils are just opening in our lane.
