I enjoy his eloquence, whatever he's presenting, but some of his travel programmes are, IMO, poorly researched, especially during his 80 gardens series.  Why would anyone go and see the Taj Mahal in the season when there's no water or the Chineseimperial summer palace's garden in winter?  It'd be like trying to film the mating/breeding season of wildlife when it's all over for the year.

He came on these boards at the time of their first broadcast and agreed but said it was also about budgets which is just daft.   If you can't afford to do it right, don't do it.   Then there's occasional innaccuracies in his advice on GW so I tend to take it all with  pinch of salt these days.

Still find some nuggets of useful info, especially in gardens visited by other presenters so GW is still a must to record and watch with a handy FF button for jungles and cacti.

Why are people abusing the flag option ? It is not there to use just because you disagree with someone.

Unfortunately it seems to have become common for ignorant people to flag posts, or posters they don’t like. It happens to me regularly. I regard it as a badge of honour.
