Hello everyone. We actually got some rain. Whoopee. Ā Don’t know how much. I’ll check the gauge in the morning.Ā

AnnaB. Sorry to admit that we didn’t watch the news for the race results (red face here). We watched some episodes of some of our favourite shows instead. Ā
    Vera, Shetland and Annika.

There is a big rainbow outside at the moment - can’t get it all onto one shot. I’ll try to post it when it’s through.

Impressive vine cutting @tui34!Ā  Fingers crossed for you @rowlandscastle444.Ā  Safe journey @Busy-Lizzie.

Uninviting outside.Ā  Meeting with my fellow organiser yesterday ahead of a couple of zoom meetings this week to get advice on funding for next year's Festival.Ā  She lives in the grounds of a ruined castle in a converted outbuilding with lots of other outbuildings used as studios etc.Ā  Beautiful.Ā  But they have to scrimp on heating, so it has its downsides.

I have bought tickets forĀ  three different events at our local theatre over the next couple of weeks.Ā  My OH thinks this is too many and resents having to go out in the cold and the dark.Ā  He'll enjoy it all when we get there.Ā  I wanted to go to another thing in Norwich tomorrow evening but that was a step too far for him.Ā  Left to his own devices I'm sure he would never leave the house!

    Good afternoon Forkers!!

Ā Love the rainbow @Pat E Ā  We had one here on Sunday afternoon. Ā Magnificent play on light. Ā Glad you got some rain.

Not feeling too stiff this morning and, as it is such a beautiful day, I whipped around a few windows with cloth - a quick trip to Aldi; Ā back to put some potato cubes and the last of the peppers into the air fryer, then off with the dog on our bike/run outing. Ā Back to hear the ding and made an endive salad. Ā A load of washing is hung out, drying in the sun. Ā Rest this afternoon. Ā I promised myself.

Ā I understand Ā your OH's dilemma @didyw Ā  It is hard to get out when it is cold, but a nice play or concert is well worth the effort!!

Ā My friend in Melbourne has to have a biopsy - to be done under local anaesthetic. Ā Seems there are some dark shadows etc lurking on her liver. Ā So frightening.

Ā I imagine there could be a Jeffrey out there - today says:
    Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā  Ā Temps couvert Ć  la Saint Geoffroy, amĆØne trois jours de froid.

A good hoeing is worth two waterings.

Planned a day at home, to be in for a delivery. Even got notified of our delivery slot this afternoon, but recently got a text to advise it won’t be here until tomorrow. At least we got warning, and not just a no-show. The item is coming from Bournemouth to near Exeter, but has evidently got stuck at the DPD sorting facility in Hinckley!Ā
OH has got stuck into some long overdue DIY jobs, I’ve cleaned a couple of windows inside and put some laundry on. Can’t go out of earshot in case I’m needed to assist / support/ clean up! Ought to go out in the garden, but it’s sad and soggy out there.Ā
Hope those with aches, pains and colds are starting to feel better? And that @Hostafan1 is starting to get some benefits from his new heating improvements?

    Hi all

Finally a little sun this afternoon but no rainbows @Pat EĀ . Went to free lunchtime concert (Mendlesohn Italian symphony) which was a nice thing indeed. Had a sandwich in a cafe with OH and I have aquagym later.Ā
Your parcel is on its way @Ergates, I am sure.

    @tui34 thinking of your friend.

I am not sure I am up to aquagym actually. Still a bit tired after last week's lurgy. Trouble is that if I miss too many of these activities I go stiff and the pain gers worse. Mmm šŸ¤”

    Have a nice afternoon/evening/bedtime all.

Despite the notification that our parcel was delayed, a van rolled up during the advised delivery slot, and a package has been delivered. As the van drove off, we turned the box over to see a big sign saying 2 of 2. Phoned the supplier who confirmed that the item comes in two boxes, and the other one is delayed, still in Hinckley. So half successful! And we may have to stay in tomorrow. ( At least, OH will, I’d been toying with the idea of popping out to the shops tomorrow, so I might as well! He wouldn’t want to come anyway)
