    I agree with you @NormandyLiz and @Nollie, declining plants in the garden have a limited appeal after a while! Local interest might be more cheerful, especially with blue skies!

    @normandyliz, I am sorry about the demise of your pair of birches due to a bad contractor, but I liked the composition of your photo.

    Thank you @clematisdorset, yes, they are Polystichum setiferum, an evergreen native fern. They get quite big so will need relocating soon!

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    Now for something different, no blue skies involved, sorry! This is a fairly mundane garden scene after some simple tweaking. Any guesses?!
