Thank you, all. We're waiting to hear if he needs surgery to stabilise the fractured vertebrae, otherwise he's good to come home. Fingers crossed life will be back to normal in the not too distant future.
Horticultural Brutalism? @NormandyLiz. How's you husband doing? I hope they let him out.
Like the fancy name! but in fact just growing out of the steps of a building at the back of the hospital. Typical buddleja.
He's still in. A full spinal scan today and he's being fitted with a brace to immobilise the spine. He's frustrated and absolutely raring to go, but they won't even let him stand up without the brace. Keeping him sensible over the next couple of months is going to be fun! This is a man who is used to cycling for 3 hours a day, including stiff hills.
Hi, @Fire. It’s been great seeing you back here. I’ve had a very busy first term in a new school. It’s been so mad that I’ve hardly had any time for the garden. Now that it’s half term I get a chance to breathe and enjoy the garden before winter arrives.
I’ve really enjoyed all the contributions to this thread.
