A similar thought occurred to me recently. I wonder if the GW magazine people keep a look-out on here for images that could grace their pages? Seems a bit pointless having a forum otherwise. If you think how much they have to pay stock libraries for small images, an approach to a forum poster might be a much cheaper alternative.
The terms and conditions of the site seem to confirm this @LunarSea :
Aaah right. However, for printed media they would need access to a hi-res version, which would remain your property and they would need to ask you for it, and presumably pay you for it. So maybe they've seen that for the mine-field it undoubtedly is.
Clay soil - Cheshire/Derbyshire border. I play with plants and soil and sometimes it's successful
Pixlr is good too - the filters and adjustments are fun
A bit Georgia O'Keeffe @fire - tulip in New Mexico desert?! I just tried it @Nollie - great fun, thankyou. I see things I could not see in my original!
Sorry to witness the demise of the forum. 😥😥😥😡😡😡I am Spartacus
@Fire, could I ask you if you know the name of the tree in the picture you posted on 24/10? I think our next door neighbours has/had one the same and OH and I have been wondering what it was? It did appear to have grown really straggly with thin, flexible branches (that blow about precariously when it's windy) and the leaves just hang down all the time. The other week they cut it down. TIA. 🙂
Oh, I've just turned the page and found the same question asked by @clematisdorset, sorry.🤭 Silver birch, hmmm, don't think our neighbours was one of those then.
I turn my back for a couple of days and return to so many wonderfully creative images. It's finally stopped raining, so I might get out and about. I remember the BBC poetry board and the food forum, both now sadly gone. Love the stained glass goldfinch!
Interesting observations, thanks, you’re a very generous lot! That’s certainly an extensive and wide-ranging automatic licence for GW/IM to to do what they want with your contributions, Plantminded.
