This is the only thing I at all liked after playing with Lunapic for far too long. Everything felt too divorced from the shot I'd taken.
Not our garden, but a view from. It's the watercolour effect, but only to about 30% to keep it still more photograph and less whatever it is otherwise (sorry, very tired at the moment)
Talking of gardens fading... what it all feels like
And this was a quick phone shot while clearing back one of the beds. Might be better for having an attractive trug rather than a green plastic tub! It felt of the moment, though.
I agree Liz, most of the online effects make photos totally unrecognisable and often far too lurid! Some are great for cards, though, like Fire’s stained glass birds.

I quite like this smoky tree effect, but not very christmassy - must try harder!
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
One thing this software can do is turn a fairly dull shot into something more interesting, but for me personally the key is not to overdo it (I agree about the stained glass birds for cards though). This was an interesting experiment
The original, taken because of the shine on the trunk as the beech channels the rain down to its roots - unprocessed and fairly unremarkable
Then some Lunarpic effects, but none at full strength
I get excited by the radical app results that make me go "oooo!" I'm treating all this as play and experiment, not striving for aesthetic excellence. I'm taking more photos than I have for a long time, and that is the plus. Just fun. I quite like lurid.
@Nollie umbellifers will always get my vote. No such thing as too many.

and I shouldn't like this but do
Not my garden!
It's making me think. All good too!
