If you do a search there are a few threads about that company, such as this one: Gardening Express — BBC Gardeners' World Magazine (gardenersworld.com)

Do you mean more recently? Have they improved? I haven't bought anything from then since I posted on that thread. However, I had an email a while ago asking me to fill in a questionnaire about them, can't remember who it was, may have been the GW team.

  • @Busy-Lizzie Yes I agree there have been various threads. Gardeners will soon be making plans for next year and some will be purchasing new plants. It would be good to  hear from anyone recently who has had a positive experience.

I've bought from them recently, a few redcurrant, jostaberry and osteospermum plants at £1 each and they are good. The packaging might be a bit rudimentary, still the plants arrived safely in good condition. I felt that there was nothing to lose with my small-value order, that is why I placed my order in spite of negative reviews.

  • @Eustace As you may know there was a thread a few months ago that didn't make good reading. If anyone has bought plants from them over the summer please post.

@GardenerSuze yes, I have seen many threads on gardening express.
I was just relating my positive experience from my purchase last month. That's all.

  • @Eustace Thankyou. Posts on Trust Pilot remain either amazing or dreadful.

They are no better,  they don’t allow any posts that are not good ones,  100+ are deleted from each their pictures,  you’ll find one or two that just say ‘Pretty’  all the others are deleted.  You can tell by the angry faced smilies what people thing.
this is someone’s lavender plants arrived in June.

  • Thankyou @Lyn Is this a case of they die on the way to the customer or are they actully sending out plants that they know to be dead. Posts on this forum go back for years.

I would imagine they send them out like that,  plants don’t die that quickly.
There are so many bad reviews on Facebook,  not on the GE site as they remove those, but on other sites where people warn not to buy from them.

  • @Lyn I hope that at least a few gardeners may read this thread in the next few days.
