Thank you for your comments.  I thought about that @Lyn how these gadgets tend to be used "a few times" then stored in that proverbial store cupboard.

I have a juicer and a sorbet maker that it could join a little later on.  I find it's the dismantling and cleaning that irritates me.

I'll probably end up deciding to buy one and then find that they either haven't had the delivery or have run out of stock!!

    Again thank you everyone.

I use mine (ninja max) now and again. It's easy to clean and has a fairly small footprint - both were important to me. It's not an essential piece of equipment but I think I would eventually get around to replacing it if it broke.

I don't have the Lidl one, but we  got one last year, and it's been very useful. It's quite big, and there are things about it that aren't brilliant - design wise, but I expect that's the same with a lot of gadgets and appliances.
It's been used regularly, and I did a chicken in it which was fine - much better than I expected. The saving is on energy, rather than the time IME, so if you're only doing a few bits and bobs in it, it'll definitely be cheaper than the oven.  :)
It's no good for pizza or baking when we've tried those. The baking was probably because mine has a glass/pyrex 'container' and made everything too soggy.

I baked a carrot + banana cake in mine. It turned out OK. I bought a thin  black heatproof plasticky looking insert. It is circular and divided up into sort of petals so that it will fit into anything circular.
    This is it @Fairygirl

I bought it in Peter Jones but you can probably get it from John Lewis

Don't be put off by low prices from Lidl.  They do have a good reputation for quality items at low prices.

Some of my favourite garden tools and gloves have come from there.

And mine @B3. They sometimes even have gloves and clogs in a small enough size.

Air fryers are a godsend for skinning peppers and tomatoes @tui34!  Great for all that produce of yours. I also concur that lidl has very good electrical products.
    Bon appetit!

I skinned mine the other day but do really miss the smokey smell from doing it on a gas hob..
