    As an addition to this little jokey thread, and being the curious person that I am, I couldn't remember when Les Gray died etc, so I looked it up. [very young, sadly] but the most interesting thing I found was about the guitarist. He wrote Kylie's #Can't get you out of my Head with Cathy Dennis, and co wrote the Spiller hit #Groovejet [if this ain't love].  :)

    Obviously Mud were long before my time, my mum used to sing me Mud songs to me in my cot, but I was never quite sure what to make of him either. I hated his earrings!

    Mud were good fun, although I know what you mean about his appearance. All part of the genre. It was Dave Hill of Slade that used to creep me out. 

    Of course - I'm too young to remember it for real...I got that all from watching videos...
