So often I hear people say that in their retirement they’re so busy they don’t know how they ever found the time to work. Well, that’s not me. My days alternate between doing sod all and doing bugger all.
Pick one thing that you really should be doing, but have been putting off, and attempt to do it. Either you will do it (win), or your lazy brain will start coming up with more attractive alternatives (also win).
Carmarthenshire (mild, wet, windy). Loam over shale, very slightly sloping, so free draining. Mildly acidic or neutral.
I was put on sick leave 12 years ago, and it's like being retired (I guess), but not able to do the things I'd like to - I'd like to go back to work, believe it or not!! With a house move on the cards, my wife has challenged me to "FIND SOMETHING TO FILL THE TIME!!!" I must admit that thread on close-up pictures of flowers, has sparked an interest. It's made me look more closely at every type of flower I pass, and try to capture the images. Even the "flowers in the wrong place" in the garden, which I have a habit of removing before they take over. I had a question about a chrysanthemum, back in October last year, and have returned to the forum to check up on what's going on. Between some of you, a new interest has been ignited - and encouraged - and I thank you for that. 😎
Don't be silly!! Women bored. I have lots of things to do, been patiently waiting for rain,so that I'm not gardening. Today I have almost finished a dress for my youngest grandaughter, who is 10 months old. My daughter, her mum,is doing a surprise BBQ for partners birthday Saturday, theme for kids is pink/leaves/tropical. Adults pink. Have got some material for my dress, cerise pink with skull pattern!! Here's the bodice, fully lined, just tacking the hem on the skirt.. have also got material to make 6 seat cushions for our new dining chairs.
Sit in a garden chair or the Summer House with a G&T and a packet of crisps and study the garden for new ideas. Or pruning to relax but not grass cutting. I hate grass cutting but that is another storey.
