The only way to get things like this to stop, is to complain to the moderators, or to @Catherine Mansley
    Otherwise it just gets worse.
Normally it is water off a ducks back, but today I am really upset and worried.
Some of the stuff in the posts recently is potentially very dangerous, and I am concerned that if people follow the advice, they might, possibly, be putting themselves at risk.

I'd like to think that most of us are sensible enough to make informed decisions taking into account our own situation, test results and advice from health professionals. In my case I don't need statins or any other heavy-duty medication yet, but if they told me I'd reached the point where things were getting worse even with appropriate diet/lifestyle measures I would weigh up the options.

Most people are eminently sensible, but some people do have a habit of believing what they read on line and I don't like the idea that someone might start drinking Grapefruit juice, stop the Statins and not realise that the BP tablets they are also on will not be metabolised because of the juice.

I find it depressing that people do not read the product information leaflets they get with  every packet of medication.  Please read information leaflets and if you have a query, ask your Pharmacist that supplied it.  For those that cannot tolerate statins, there are newer drugs on the market now, like Bempedoic acid.  The biggest things that people can do for their health, is to give up smoking (if you still do), maintain a normal weight and keep mobile.  Eat a wide range of fruit and veg and nuts and meat and fish and dairy.  If you have a restricted diet  take a good vitamin and mineral supplement like Centrum .
Back to the original posters question, one of the best sources for any diabetic or prediabetic is  Diabetes uk. Their forum has many members with plenty of experience.

    100% agree @figetbones

Just to add.... there's another forum that I trust https://www.diabetes.co.uk/ - both very good. Though my preference is the later. Like on this forum, there are posters that I feel I can resonate with and value their advice.

Purely referring to the grapefruit problem, there is a warning printed on my name label on my blood pressure tablets.  I don't even need to read the leaflet to be aware.

I got a prescription skin cream from the chemist a few weeks ago.

He’d written in large letters on the packet the single word “NUTS”.

I tried to decide whether it was an allergy warning or just that he was feeling a bit overstressed that day. 😊

Or a reference to the customer?? :D
